344 volunteers came together to collect debris along the shores of the Great Lakes in Chicago

Volunteers picked up pieces of debris along the shores of Chicago. The data is collected and put into the Ocean Conservancy Database. This year’s global data confirmed, as it has every year, that ring carriers are not a significant cause of litter or animal entrapment issues.

On November 15-17, Hi-Cone attend the 2015 Private Label Trade Show and shared their success stories in building private label brands. Private label market share is standing at its highest levels ever, and store brands are continuing their sales surge utilizing these private labels. Hi-Cone emphasized how to provide maximum results through minimal packaging at the trade show.

This March, Beverage World Magazine recognized Hi-Cone as one of the companies who successfully innovate sustainability. The magazine published an article by Hi-Cone’s Director of Marketing, Elizabeth Sheaffer, titled “Value of Sustainability”. The article focuses on Hi-Cone’s photo- degradability, Life Cycle Analysis advantages, and interactive ability of carriers. This innovative packaging can effectively build brand loyalty with consumers.

Addison Trail High School Class takes a tour of Hi-Cone factory, listens to presentations, and networks at lunch with the speakers.

Introduction to Business Class teacher, Michael Maaske, brought his class to Hi-Cone to learn the ins and outs of a well-established manufacturing company. They were given a tour of the factory and amazed by the machinery and variety of employee talent. The heads of each department; product development, manufacturing, marketing, HR, and sales, all got a chance to share their knowledge with this promising group of next generation business professionals.
